Entry Requirements
Entry into courses offered in Australia is dependent upon the applicant satisfying two requirements:
Academic performance; and English language proficiency.
Note: Under the student visa regulations in Australia, IELTS is now the only English proficiency test accepted for students in certain assessment levels.
There may be exceptions for government or agency-sponsored students.
Students who do not meet the English requirements can undertake an intensive course (foundation) in Australia. Students who achieve the required level of English proficiency in this course will not be required to re-sit the IELTS. Students must submit an IELTS or TOEFL score to receive an offer for an English course.
IELTS and TOEFL scores must be no more than one year old.
Students may satisfy the English requirements if they have previously studied with English as the medium of instruction. This is assessed on an individual basis and an IELTS or TOEFL may still be requested.
Where applicants fail to meet the English language requirements, they are encouraged to seek a conditional offer of a place subject to meeting the English language requirements. The university reserves the right to seek further documentary evidence of English language proficiency.
Entry requirements vary, depending on the type of course you intend to study. Please review the section most relevant to you:
